Your data stays in India

We host the Nirai platform on infrastructure located in India. Keeping data in the country matters for coaching institutes, and it aligns with how we think about data protection under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Where any processing involves a service provider outside India, we take reasonable steps to ensure the data continues to be protected.

Each institute is isolated

Nirai is built so that every institute's data is kept logically separate from every other institute's. Your students, staff, fees, questions and results belong to your workspace alone. This isolation is a core part of how the platform is designed, not an afterthought.

Encryption and secure access

Data travelling between your browser or app and Nirai is protected with encryption in transit. Access to the platform is controlled through authenticated logins, and within an institute you decide who can see and do what through roles and permissions. We follow the principle of least privilege for our own operational access.

Payments handled by trusted gateways

Online payments are processed by established payment gateways. We do not store full card numbers or banking credentials on our servers. Card data is handled by the gateway on infrastructure that is certified to the payment card industry's security standards.

Reliability and backups

We take regular backups of platform data to help recover from unexpected failures, and we monitor the service so we can respond to issues. While we work hard to keep Nirai available and reliable, no online service can promise perfect uptime, and specific service levels apply only where separately agreed in writing.

Your data is yours

You own your data. We use it only to provide and support the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data, and when you close your account we delete or anonymise data in the ordinary course, subject to any legal retention requirements. We do not sell personal data.

If you believe you have found a security issue, we would like to hear from you. Please write to us at [email protected] with the details, and please give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address it before disclosing it publicly. We appreciate responsible disclosure.

An honest note

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we keep improving them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
